Christmas is now only days away and if you’re not through with shopping — well, time’s a wastin’!

Here at the OLB, it’s business as usual — Magic the Gathering booster packs are still on sale for @2.99; selected Marvel and DC hardbacks and trade paperbacks are $10 and $5 respectively; dollar books are only 50 cents each; and you need to come in just to see the new 12-inch GI Joe collection.  The new Heroclix set, Hulked-Out Heroes, is here, as well as the newest collected editions of the Walking Dead and Fables.

The Pokemon City Championship last weekend was a HUGE success, and even though our resident Magic expert, Steven Ardary, was unable to play in Murfreesboro, he was able to participate in the Nashville Championship and finish a really respectable second place.  We’re going to get him into YuGiOh, too, so he can complete his trifecta…

Old time customers also know we’re getting pretty close to the second of our huge sales events we do every year:  the OLB after Christmas sale.  Look for an announcement late next week as to the hows and the particulars.

The OLB knows it’s not even Halloween yet, but Christmas is approaching faster than any of us want to realize, and we’re already getting requests and suggestions. And one of those suggestions is simply too good not set into motion now.

For the upcoming holiday season, Outer Limits Boro will host what we’re calling the Christmas Wish Registry. Our customers will be able to pick items from the store to be placed on that registry, so that friends and relatives can shop from the list instead of agonizing over that perfect gift.   And to make it even easier, when they buy an item from a person’s wish list, the OLB is going to give them 20% off their purchase.  Now, that’s change we can believe in!

But, gang, this will only work if you think about what you want in the registry. Maybe it’s one of the cool, new rares from Innistrad. Perhaps Marvel or DC has a graphic novel you’ve been eying for a while. Has that vintage GI Joe or Star Wars figure been haunting your dreams?
